This recording includes Alyosha’s new compositions for piano written in Israel, such as: “Our Land”, “Dedication”, “The Entrance of the Bride”, “The River of His Love”. It also includes “Rhapsody” written on the theme of Israeli song writer, Effe Netzerd: “Mishehu Holech Tamid Iti – Someone Always Walks with Me”. This recording features sonata No. 4 for piano which is called: “Eli Eli”. It is the line from the Book of Psalms chapter 22: “My God, my God, why have You forsaken me”? This sonata has been conceived after composer’s visit to Buchenwald, the former concentration camp. And three movements of the sonata depict 3 parts of the Psalm.
